Alcuin College, York
In my first year up at York the website for Alcuin College’s Junior Common Room looked offensive. I proposed an alternative design which aimed to look bold and assertive centred on the college’s colours of carmine and black. The IT officer on the common room committee took this design and integrated it with the college’s custom content management system.
The site design was used for two years from its inception.
As a proof of concept I integrated this design with the MovableType content management system. The IT officer chose to retain the custom content management system, so that work amounted to no more than a useful learning experience. The slideshow contains an image showing the MovableType system in work.
